Everest was named after a Welshman, funnily enough though he hated being called 'Everest' as we call it on modern days, as he pronounced his surname 'Eve-rest'. Start saying that to everyone else instead and I am sure you will get a few extra questions..'don't you mean..?' sort of things, by which time you have already wound them in and can get them to sign up to whatever you like..brilliant. Just bring back some rubbish! Hwyl, Damo
Your average never-been-up-higher-than-a-munro sort of person. And now living next door to the flattest country in Europe. That said, I do have a prestigious job in Brussels working on the sixth floor, and although the lift has never yet broken down, I'm sure sheer panic will induce me to opt for the wooden hill as the 21st of October (Big E-Day) draws nigh.
